Frasier 5x18 vs Friends 5x20

Has anyone ever noticed the striking resemblance in the Frasier episode 'Bad Dog' and Friends 'The one with the ride-along? Not only are they both about someone who is mistakenly seen as a hero, but both have the same 'Hero Sandwiches' joke.

Transcript from Friends:

Monica: Man, I would be great in a war. I mean, I really... I think I would make a fantastic military leader. I mean, I know I would make General before any of you guys. Chandler: Before or after you were shot by your own troops? Ross: I know where Joey would be. He'd be down in the foxhole protecting all of us. Chandler: Yes, if the foxhole was lined with sandwiches. Joey: Yeah, hero sandwiches. Phoebe: You all know that I am a pacifist. So I am not interested in war in any way. But you know what? When the revolution comes, I will have to destroy you all.

The Frasier episode aired 7/4/98 and the Friends episode 4/29/99.

Bulldog: [sniggering] Yeah, I saved your butt.
Frasier: [angrily] Saved my butt, my ass!  You pulled Roz in front of
         you to protect yourself!  Everything else that happened was
         simply by accident.
Bulldog: [yelling, pointing] THAT STINKS!  THAT'S TOTAL BS!  I'm a
         hero!  I'm a brave, brave man! [lowers voice] Aw, Jeez,
         you're not gonna tell, are you?
Frasier: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't.
Bulldog: You like muffins?
Frasier: You know what, I was determined to expose you, but it
         suddenly occurs to me I don't have to.  You'll do it
         yourself.  And you know why?  Because a guilty conscience
         needs no accuser. [turns away]
Bulldog: [hopefully] That means you won't tell?
Frasier: [turns back, shaking finger] Once again, I don't have to,
         because a guilty conscience sleeps in thunder!
