I still think they've missed a great opportunity on the paternity issue, but if we're really going to have Ross as the father, what about this:
Accidentally or by design, Ross never did properly file the annulment papers, so they've been married the whole time.
they never got it anulled. it was the crazy episode with the judge and they had to get a divorce.

IIRC Rachel had copies, and I'm sure she'd have checked them *very* carefully. :)
They had to end up filing for divorce. Ross brought the papers over to Rachel and had her sign them. He was going to take them in to have it done and R said to give her a copy. I am willing to bet that he didn't take them in and Rachel just assumed he did and then forgot about it. At least that is how I am hoping for. Also I think Joey and Pheebs make a great couple. They will end up together. Peg
