anybody else read about this?

I read on a German Friends site that BKC have been interviewed by some magazine where they said that they didn't know how to resolve the whole triangle mess so they created two clips, one promoting R+R and one for J+R and sent some agency off to show these clips to people in 24 US cities to see how the people responded to it and so that they could write a series ending the people would want. Apparently J+R are way ahead, with about 70% favouring them over R+R, so that the producers thought it more likely to go down that route than R+R.

The whole thing seems really strange to me, not that people would favour J+R over R+R, but that BKC would run off and ask the viewers what they'd want to see and write the show accordingly...

So has anybody else heard this, or even knows from which magazine this interview is?

Well, audience testing isn't new, by a long chalk. A recent example would be the new J.Lo movie "Gigli" where the movie was shown to test audiences who found the ending unbelievable, so extensive reshooting took place (hence the long delay in getting the movie into theatres). (And the reshooting didn't help, the movie's still a turkey according to reviewers).

But I digress. I haven't heard this particular story regarding BKC doing audience testing for storylines, but it's plausible I suppose ...

The entire thing was a hoax written by our very own Dan G and posted on Angel's Friends Board.

Not a scrap of truth in it anywhere, much to the disappointment of J&R fans like me.

i doubt this. I really do. There's no way they'd do this. They've been doing the show for 9 years and not once have they done anything like this. Plus, i don't think this method is typically done.
