I just read a couple of old spoilers on www.tvguide.com about season 6. These spoilers were released in September 1999.

It said: "Joey might find some success in his acting career, and Phoebe will be heading toward romance."

Well, I've never worked as a waiter myself, but I hardly think it counts as an acting job. :)

And poor Phoebe, will she ever get a longterm relationship?

Another spoiler stated that we would get to meet Chandler's dad.

Let's just hope that some of these spoilers come true in the future!

Monica: Fine! Judge all you want to but, (points to Ross) married a lesbian, (points to Rachel) left a man at the altar, (points to Phoebe) fell in love with a gay ice dancer, (points to Joey) threw a girl's wooden leg in a fire, (points to Chandler) livin' in a box!!

Hellooooo!!! After getting drunk in Vegas, Ariel doodled cat whiskers on his/her face and miaowed this little lot at a statue...

Well, unless they're going to be absolute hatchet jobs done in the last 4 episodes of the season, they're not going to happen this season. I think this is possibly one of the worst seasons I've ever seen of *any* show for actual plot development - they're throwing anything about just to see if it works, rather than actually taking the time to develop some actual plots. In the whole season, there has not been *one* plot that's lasted more than five episodes and then been abruptly dropped the minute they got bored of it. There's been *nothing* in the way of any theme whatsoever to this season - we've had Ross and Rachel married, Ross and Rachel divorce, Chandler and Monica move in together, Joey get the dullest roommate EVER, Rachel get jealous over Ross dating her sister, Ross breaking up with sister because he doesn't want to know that nothing could ever happen with him and Rachel, Chandler messing up and giving Monica a gift from Janice, and now we're about to have Ross dating one of his students and presumably Rachel getting jealous again. The writers really don't have a clue what they're doing this season, so they're just throwing whatever they can at it in the hope it *might* work, rather than taking the time to develop plots that *will* work.

i also heard that joey was suppossed to inherit a cornish castle from his great aunt or something and the crew were meant to be comin over to the uk ows

Whatever they say, don't believe them. The writers seem to have no clue where they are going now, so I don't think they had any more clue where they were going then.
