Ok first of all I have written a couple of messages and I have gottne no response so could you guys please reply being as open and honest as possible. Ok yes Ross and Rachel went out and they broke up a lot. You don't do that if you are really in love. I think that they did have feeelings at one time which have now gone away. Of Ross loves Rachel he wouldn't have slept with Chole. It can be classified as a spur of the movement mistake but I think Ross has more sense than that. Now Ross and Rachel have gone away. Ok in the next eposiode Rachel is supposed to move out and live with Ross so they can exprience the pregancy togethr. Ross should really try to be a father to this baby, but I think that all six of the FRIENDS will help raise the baby so Ross is the biological father but the baby will have three fathers Ross, Joey and Chandler. It will also have three mothers Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe. They will all help raise the baby. Ok on to JOey and RAchel I think they would be cute. I don't think JOey and Rachle would ever hurt each other like Ross and Rachel I think that if they did ever get togther and break up they would be in the break up togther. After Ross slept with Chole Joey told him he should have went home and made up withe Rachel when Joey finds a girl he really like he will make her oh so happy Please any comments are welcome

Personally, I don't believe that break-ups mean you don't love each other, it just means that the couple has problems they can't seem to work out together. Ross and Rachel's break-up stemmed from them not being able to move past the Chloe incident, and Rachel not being able to fully forgive Ross for what he did. Who was right in that situation, I don't know. But that break-up did not mean that Rachel stopped loving Ross, she was just not able to work past her problems in the relationship. Since then, I do agree that Ross and Rachel have stopped loving each other in that girlfriend/boyfriend way, they are friends. It would be *extremely* hard for the writers to make a Ross/Rachel reunion believeable. The Joey/Rachel romance is much more plausible at this point, if this is the last season. I would hate for Ross and Rachel to get back together just because of the baby, because I don't agree with a marriage that doesn't contain love. If the writers decide not to go down the Joey/Rachel route, I think the best option would be what they are planning to do in the next episode, have Rachel move in with Ross so they can raise the baby together.

Understood, but does Rachel love Joey? I don't think so! I still believe that R&R still love each other. I just hope that Joey isn't REALLY in love with Rachel so that he isn't hurt!!

IMO, all of the emotions and feelings of love, or what was left of them, in Ross and Rachel's relationship have been so drawn out over the past 7 seasons, any remaining love has been wrenched out. The writers would have to be extremely careful in how they concoct a Ross/Rachel reunion, if they even plan to do so. To throw them together, having them suddenly realize their forbidden love for each other that has been lurking somewhere and walk off into the sunset together would be completely unbelievable, to me at least. Unless there is a 9th season, I think the best scenario is to have Rachel and Ross share an apartment together as friends and raise the baby together. As I've said before, I don't believe in a marriage without love, and, IMO, Ross and Rachel no longer share any existing love or feelings for each other. I wish there could be a R+R reunion, because I loved them together during their happy days, but at this point it just does not seem feasible.

Now I believe that they have always loved each other! It isn't that they would have suddenly realized this. They have always known. It is just getting them to admit their true feelings to each other. They have told the other Friends, in the past, that they still love each other. But they are afraid to mention it to the other person for fear that the love will not be returned. This is why I think that one of the other Friends needs to sit R&R down and tell them to admit their true feelings and get it out in the open!

Yet, the writers have made quite clear throughout this season that Ross and Rachel are *not* in love any more. This is why it would be so difficult for the situation you are suggesting to occur. All of their friends know that Ross and Rachel do not love each other, there has been no private admission of underlying love for the other to any of the friends, which is the only way we knew something was kindling in past seasons. Instead, each is perfectly happy without the other. Should the other friends sit Ross and Rachel down and tell them to work things out, that should refer to working things out about and preparing for their upcoming child. In no way could I see any of the other friends saying, "work out your love for each other." There has been no evidence at all this season to show that either Ross or Rachel holds feelings for the other. Ross has Mona, who keeps him happy, and Rachel has absolutely no objection to their (Ross and Mona) relationship, unlike her reaction to Ross and Julie, Emily, Bonnie and a few others in the past. To say that Ross and Rachel still love each other secretly is something that cannot be upheld with recent evidence.

But remember one thing. The writers can write in any surprises that are unseen now so we can be "surprised". Remember how we had no idea about the pregnancy? We had no idea that R&R had any encounter until the writers "surprised" us. They are very capable of springing anything on us at their whim.

Sure, they can surprise us at any moment. During sweeps, aliens can abduct Phoebe, and then it could be revealed they are carrying her back to her home planet. The writers can also throw Ross and Rachel onto the path of rebuilding their love during sweeps. But is it *believable*? IMO, no. After unveiling some of their absolute best writing this season, to suddenly pitt together Ross and Rachel comes completely out of nowhere. Yes, we will be surprised, but will you be thrilled about the situation and how it was handled? I wouldn't. Should an R+R reunion occur in the future, I think the beginning of a rekindling believably occur *only* after the baby is born, meaning there would have to be a 9th season for this reunion to be handled properly, instead of rushing into coupledom with no obvious or believable storyline leading up to the reunion. I'm not saying it can't or won't happen, for you are correct, the writers are free to jump on any whim and force us viewers to deal with and accept anything they "surprise us with." But, all I am saying is that I would most definitely *not* be satisfied with this type of reunion.

Joey's interest in Rachel has developed rather quickly. It has only surfaced in the last few episodes. Many people have found it believable in its quick development since it was handled well. I don't see why the writers couldn't write Ross and Rachel a believable story that develops over a few episodes if they were inclined to.

Have you ever been married? There is no way at all this will work as a permanent situation. The existance of either one as a permanent roommate will destroy romance the other has. This idea is even less feasible in the *long run* than them reuniting. Besides, they keep accidentally falling in bed together. There's a lot of baggage you are pretending doesn't exist.
