Hey all, for those who actually make the dvd-rips, which program do you use for the capture. Most of the programs cannot capture the movie playing... Thanks for any help.
P.S can you please answer with the type of acquiring it (free, demo.. etc.)

i don't make any dvd rip but i know this website is one of the best it has everything you need including tutorials i never goes there because i don't own a DVD but if you want to rip something this is the website for.

I use PowerDVD. There's a capture button on the panel that (when configured) can save screen captures to a directory of your choice. It's not free though, but you can download a trial version from:
