Nice Friends season finale

While this season finale didn't have the excitement or the hilarity of last
year's it was very good nonetheless.   Nice to see the Joey/Rachel thing
finally happen now that they've teased us for a year and a half about it.   Now
let's see what happens when Ross finds out next year.    It's be hard to wait 4
months, though.

Anyway, the Friends writers love cliffhangers, every season finale except two has had one. Also, almost every season finale has had a wedding or proposal. Pretty interesting recurring theme.

Not IMHO.  A cliffhanger makes you wonder "what's going to happen next?"   And
you knew Chandler and Janice were going to break up again.    Besides, S3
didn't begin right where S2 left off.   (S7 began where S6 left off however,
minus several pounds from Chandler.  :) )

With the cliffhanger in parentheses, I'm sure you'd agree with me.

they did well together, but to go somewhere with one guy then dump him and stay there with another guy - that's just rude. And then all the sexual comments she made to Mike - for all he knows she had had sex with David in the past few hours. Does that not mean anything to her or to him?

Mike and David should both have left Barbados and Phoebe could have taken back up with Mike when she got back. But then when she kept getting his name wrong David should have not gone to begin with. He should have told her "I know you still like this guy and when you get your feelings worked out let me know". That would have saved a lot of hurt feelings.

I've not been liking how the show's treating David. It still resonates with me when, in David's 1st episode, near the end, Phoebe thought Joey was going to give her a hard time about not abandoning plans with a friend; with the tone of her voice filled with more choked-up emotion than I've seen on Friends. That resonated, saying David was Phoebe's 'the one'.

To go from that (plus most of his other appearences) to the two episodes from this season is a shame. It doesn't seem right.

They should've just kept him in Minsk this season, either saving him for near the end of the last season to resolve that separation, or keep him off entirely otherwise. Yes, even last fall when there wasn't going to be a season 10.

Maybe this sort of thing'll make me understand all the anti-R&R sentiment alittle better.

It'd just be a shame to make Phoebe's earlier deep emotions just another
continuity error.

Mibbitmaker likes to play a special version of 'Hey Jude', with 25 minutes of 'na nananana' and an extra verse that goes like this:

Yeah, that was one of the most emotional moments on the show, imho second only to the infamous breakup scene. And it was David's second appearance you're talking about, the first was in S1 ;)

And I'm also not liking how David gets treated :( His appearances this year alone have been funnier than a bunch of the 'regular' episodes this year combined, maybe the cast doesn't like Hank Azaria because he steals all the scenes....

I'm still hoping he and Phoebe will eventually get together. I don't think Mike is as bad as many people make him out to be (at first I really didn't see why everybody liked him and now that no one does anymore, I seem to like him more and more each time he's on). He has an ability that Chandler lacks quite obviously these days, I can't put it into the right words but it's something to do with how he responds to Monica, they've had a lot of scenes together and while Chandler would have gone all mushy in these scenes, Mike stood his ground. Maybe Chandler will learn something off him. Anyway, my point was that although I like Mike, he's no David.

heh? Would you care to explain? I really don't understand what you're saying here ;-) What's anti-R+R sentiment got to do with David and Phoebe?

I have a feeling that by the time the series finale comes along it'll all be one massive continuity error, where Monica dates Ross, because he seems to be the only one capable of impregnating women in the group
