Just wondering does anyone know the casts views on politics?. Being in England I've never seen any info on who backs how and if the cast have ever been prominent in American elections.

I don't think the cast are prominent in American elections. I do recall, however, that one of President Bush's daughters Jenna, (who had been busted for drinking) was working one summer at a management agency owned by Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. It was reported that they would make fun of her, saying things like, "Hey, Jenna, want a beer?'' I heard reports that the were really making fun of her, which seemed very immature to me - a couple of 30-somethings making fun of a 20-year old just because they don't like her father.

Entertainment and politics are 2 separate things and I think the cast has done it right by keeping them separate. They are there for entertainment and not their political views. I personally get irritated when someone in the entertainment industry decides to shout their political opinions during a non-political event like the Emmy's.
