Its too easy to pick this show apart. I have learned to try and ignore all the obvious questions about this show over the years.

Now you're going to turn it into a soap opera.

They grow up and meet. They fall in love. And then the parents ahve to do their dandest to keep them apart because they are related, but were never told.
