Ahem... information on the future of Friends. :-)

Outlook: Friendly "It's season-finale time for TV writers, which means it should be time for all 6 Friends (whose $100,000-per-episode deals expire in May) to decide if they're coming back. But with only five more episodes to shoot before wrapping up in mid-April, the sextet has yet to even begin negociations. Apparently, that's not a bad sign: "There's not a lot of anger or angst or confrontation," says a source close to the show who's cautiously optimistic about its return, even though cast members will likely seek north $500,000 per episode. On the brighter side: Many key Friends writers are already signed on for two or more seasons. As for the finale, the source speculates that the scribes may have to write it whithout knowing what the future holds." *ALYSSA: (Crosses fingers.) R&R reunion, for the love of God, give me an R&R reunion. I suppose there's really not enough time to ask for Monica to have a baby, obviously, but at least pregnancy would be nice. I wonder what C&M would name their child... hmmm... Exactly. Most people think that the last season of Seinfeld was bad, but NBC was winning the ratings every week. NBC has made fabulous offers to the ER cast to stick around, so I'm sure that the FRIENDS cast will atleast be offered a large amount of money.

Most likely the final episode (either this season or in the future) will feature all these ideas. R&R will get back together ( the writers are even hinting this now). C&M wil get married and have kids (TOW the Joke, TOW Chandler Can't Cry). What happens to P &J will be the interesting part to see. Frankly, I'd like to see this season's finale be Nora Bing and Richard Burke tying the knot, annoying Chandler and Monica alike.

Oh they better be offered it. Whether or not they'll take it is another issue...

I think the writers are throwing out hints because they don't know how long Friends has until it reaches its final destination.
