What would their post-Friends careers have to do with making a TVor big screen movie? They have all made the statement they would eventually do a reunion movie of some form, it was never determined when. ~~~ Kathy

I disagree. Why would they refuse to do a TV reunion movie about the characters and series that made them and their careers. If it wasn't for "Friends", where would each one be? I am glad they're looking at a reunion movie. ~~~ Kathy

In a word.... TYPECASTING The more they relive the role the more often they will be associated with that type of character. They have all said that they loved the experience of playing "FRIENDS" but some of them have attempted to play roles very different just to show they can be someone other than "RACHAEL GREEN" the "GOOD GIRL"

I'm waiting for a legit article online about the movie & then we can all jump for joy & certain people can brag about "I TOLD YA SO" Or a year from now certain others can brag because no such news was actually reported.

As of what I heard on the radio and read in an article on the internet, the case is in serious "talks" about a "Friends" reunion movie to the tune of $15 million each. I can't believe it'd be crap. These six work too well together for a movie to be 2nd rate. The fact that I did hear it on a national news program on the radio driving home from work yesterday afternoon kinda tells me that it is semi-official. The salaries have apparently been agreed upon, so maybe all they're doing now is putting the finishing touches on the script. ~~~ Kathy

Its gonna be great Kathy we all know it, the itching began much sooner than anticipated but EVERYONE is itching for more. Sometimes it can backfire and reunion shows are crap...I know that won't be the case for 'friends' maybe because we know the characters SO well it'll just be a great experience? I don't know it'll just be good.

ITA with you! The characters on "Friends" are probably the most recognizable in TV history ranking right up there with Archie Bunker and Fonzie. A TV sitcom doesn't run for 10 successful years on luck. The writers and actors made that sitcom an enbraceable program for the viewing public and we did just that. The reason I believe a reunion movie would work is because the producers, writers and actors won't go for some crap just to satisfy a demand. Well true I suppose but nothing stays top secret for very long in this industry especially from showbiz magazines like 'ok' and the like...but can you honestly say you'd be surprised to see a movie of the most successful tv series ever made????
