My thoughts on Ep. 7.02 (Spoiler)

After having seen the first and second episode of season 7, I'm starting to reconsider my thoughts on a season eight. Phoebe has changed, Chandler has become the utterly boring Mondler (I finally see what you mean by that), Monica has become a manipulative fianc�, and Chandler is a kind of a puppet. We still see some of the good ol' Joey, but I never thought he'd hit on Rachel - atleast not so much! Ross' humour has gone (as if he was funny from the start!), so that leaves us more slapstick humour than we need. I'd actually prefer Frasier rather than Friends. Please tell me it'll get better

Yes, it does get better. After seeing all the episodes so far I can guarantee that you'll like the episodes that you have yet to see, although I can't speak for the remaining 8/9 episodes of the season yet to come.

Not to give to much away, but Chandler does prove he has 'back bone' during this series and Monica is a lot nicer, some people say, than in the previous few series. Just my opinion though ............

Don't worry about this season of Friends just yet. TV2 has only aired two episodes, and neither of them are among the season's best. (I have seen all the episodes, so I know that much.)

You'll see some real improvement next week when 703 airs, and then there is 706, which is a true gem of an episode. Other great episodes include e.g. 710, 714 and 716.

Chandler changes a lot during the first couple of episodes, but he's not the Mondler-person you're talking about. We're just not used to seeing him as Monica's fianc� as we did last night. Having said that, wasn't his speech at the end of the episode really clever and sweet? He managed to persuade Monica by telling her about their future, and Monica realised that the wedding itself wasn't the most important thing, their marriage is.
