Ross & Phoebe

Has any given thought to Ross & Phoebe getting together? They've come close a few times (remember the pool table scene). It could all wrap up nicely with Chandler & Monica, Joey & Rachel, Ross & Phoebe. However, it wouldn't be possible to pair Joey & Rachel if Joey's going to go on to another show. Just a thought.

Joey and Rachel won't work out anyhow with the past that Ross and Rachel carry with them. I think Phoebe will marry Mike, Ross and Rachel will get together or at least make ammends to raise Emma, and Joey will stay single for his spin-off.

What do you guys think about this spin-off anyway? Don't really know what to expect from a show that revolves round a no-so-good, dumb actor...

There are just too many factors to look at: * Last season coming up * Abbreviated season with fewer episodes * Building a story line for build up of spinoff * R&R fans about split 50/50 with J&R fans * Who will stay for spinoff and who will leave to persue movie career * Who will guest star in a spinoff. (They've been really close friends for a decade. I can't see them all of a sudden splitting up and not seeing each other every now and then.) Personally I think Joey and Rachel makes sense. Ross is a nice guy and all but when it comes to Rachel (or any of his girlfriends after his first divorce), Ross sees them as a possession instead of a partner. He doesn't trust them and the littlest problem has him throwing everything away and thinking about how the problem is affecting how he feels without even taking a second to think about how his girlfriend feels. That is why I don't think that Rachel will end up with Ross nor should she. Joey on the other hand has come forth with all the Friends about his feeling about Rachel. Rachel is truely his first love. Joey is portrayed as a dimwitted individual but when it comes to friendship and real relationships, I think he is one of the strongest. He didn't get jealous when Chander kissed Kathy. Yes, he got upset with Chandler for not being honest with him but never jealous. I could never see Ross do such a thing.

I thik at this point, unless a miracle occurs and repairs the damage
to the Ross/Rachel relationship that has occured since season three
(and they break-up Charlie and Ross), that Ross and Rachel won't end
up together.  And given the news about Joey, he probably won't end up
with Rachel, either.  In this case, I am thinking of an idea I heard a
couple of years ago... bring back Brad Pitt for a few episodes, and
get his character together with Rachel.  Then we'd have...
   Monica and Chandler
   Phoebe and Mike
   Charlie and Ross
   Rachel and Will

But that leaves poor Joey alone. I'm beginning to think announcing the spinoff was not a good thing at this point. But, I guess I can start preparing for the inevitability of the ending of the Joey/Rachel romantic relationship.

I'm still rooting for Phoebe and the Hank Azaria character.

Predict again that Ross and Rachel will discover that, for some bureaucratic reason, they have been married since Las Vegas.
