Frasier's 8th season opener's similar to the first few episodes of Friends' 5th season

It goes like this:

On the 8th season opener of Frasier, after Niles and Daphne tell their lovers the bad news, Mel makes an ultimatium to Niles that they should pretend to be married until they get a divorce. The catch: Niles isn't allowed to see Daphne anymore.

On Friends 5th season opener, after Ross mentions Rachel's name in the vows, instead of Emily's, the bride herself gets p.o'd at Ross and storms out of the chapel. Ross wanted to reconcile with Emily, but her ultimatium is that if they were to get back together, Ross will have to stop seeing Rachel.

Frasier: Late into the opener, Frasier escourts Niles to the roof of their father's apartment buliding, and to Niles' surprise, he see Daphne all dressed up. Niles and Daphne finally have a dinner date that they've been waiting for.

Friends: By the time the hour-long season finale begins, the gang heads to Las Vegas. By the time the finale's over, a drunk Ross and Rachel (with marker doodles all over their faces) comes stumbling out of the wedding chapel just as Moncia and Chandler were about to elope. When the 6th season rolled on by, a sober Ross and Rachel learned that they got married and both agree to annul their marriage. (Bad idea!)

That's just about it.

I was looking forward to the new season to start here, thank you SOOOOOOO much for spoiling it for us Frasier fans who have also been looking forward to the new season. you could've at least used a spoiler space!

Isn't the subject enough of a spoiler notice? It is fairly obvious from the title the post will discuss the similarities between the first episode of this season's episode.

No it isn't! the fact is you should've used a spolier space anyway out of courtesy.
