S2 boxset from dvd.com

anybody heard anything from them since they changed the price? mine's still on backorder and I haven't received any email from them yet

I sent them an email asking about my order and they told me that they haven't received the DVDs from their distributer yet and that they will ship it as soon as they have it.

I went ahead and just paid the $49 at Best Buy the day it came out, rationed it out to a couple shows an evening or so, watched the entire second season with all the extras and put it on the shelf already.

Where's this arrogance coming from? I wouldn't have ordered it at this point if it weren't for that price and I'm not really bothered if it takes some time to arrive. It just seemed like a good bargain when it was posted, so I thought "why not?". If they decide to only post it if I pay their new price, I'm gonna cancel my order and get it at some other time, together with the S1 box, which I still haven't bought either (I have S1-S7 on R2 DVD and S8 as DivX (801-816 DVD rips with the extra scenes), so I don't really care, I'm just after the extras and not *that* desperate)

That's just what I said from the onset.. "no harm trying".. but some people take it to mean that DVD express should honor the mis-printed price. Express promptly revised the price upon checking and they reserved the right to do so. Stick with the order and keep your fingers crossed if you wish.

What the hell are you on about? How do you know I didn't read their T&C? And for what reason do you call me ignorant? I don't actually need to read through the whole T&C to be aware about stuff like that if there is a misprint they can't be forced to deliver at that price, this is common business in Germany (and around the world I assume)

How do you know fuckwit? So far I've not heard from them, so I guess that eventually the set will be delivered to me at the price it says on the receipt I was emailed. And if not, I expect them to contact me about it, so I can either allow them to charge my credit card for twice the amount of money originally intended, or cancel my order. If they simply deliver at the higher price or don't contact me at all, it would be sufficient enough reason to seek legal action against them (not saying that I would bother with it, but it is a theoretical option)

Yeah, right, that's why I bought the R2 S1-S7 boxsets (total cost ~ 700 Euro) within half a year and will buy the S8 boxset as soon as it's available and I have the money. You were a regular poster here awhile ago, but what happened that you became such an incredible moron during the time you lurked? Since I got my DVD drive last October I've bought DVDs worth more than 1000 Euro and despite MP3s I have a massive and growing CD collection, I often go out the day an album is released to get it, for example I just pre-ordered the new CDs from the Foo Fighters and Lifehouse, so don't you give me shit about not respecting copyright.

You must feel very brave resorting to personal attacks and profanity from behind a keyboard half a world away. Not that I'm surprised by your outburst as one usually wouldn't expect anything less from someone by whose own admission is in possession of downloaded dvdrips. Priated software is stolen software in case you're not aware. Claiming you've spent several thousand euros on dvds doesn't absolve you. You show no respect for property rights but then again you show no repsect to begin with.

Anyway while you busy foaming from the mouth, dvd express had started shipping out the S2 set since last week. The set is on order and ready for shipping within 2-3 days and stated on their website as well. I checked around with a few friends and those who have ordered from dvd.com after 9/10 have received their copy. The ones who are on backorder are those who had pre-ordered.

My email to be fair was directed that those expecting dvd express to honor misprinted price. They make mistakes like everyone else and listing thousands of dvds means it takes time to correct those errors as they need to verify the correct price.
