Does the Joey character remind anybody of Ted Baxter from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"? Like when his voice gets really deep...or how vain he is? I love both characters, I think they're hilarious.

I consider myself a fan of Joey and Ted, but don't think they're all that similar. Joey doesn't have Ted's pomposity and stinginess, Ted didn't have Joey's ... I'll have to let somebody else figure out good stuff for this sentence.

He was socially inept, and I'd have to say his general knowledge was quite lacking as well. He mixed up the meaning of similar sounding words and used them on the television news program, which he anchored.
I found him quite funny.

Oddly, his wife, Georgette, was much like a female Joey--not sexually, as far as we were allowed to know, but in many other ways. She seemed ignorant at first blush, but then she would come up with gems that revealed a deeper mind than her Tinkerbell-voice and blonde hair would indicate. She seemed socially intuitive, and she had an warm, giving heart and an open mind.
