"Jesse" and "Veronica's Closet"

This is really, really disturbing.

USA is airing the syndicated episodes of "Jesse" and "Veronica's Closet" during the USAm morning block. I'm officially repulsed.

Oh my god! Who would watch that?

The really sad part is that two shows that are actually good--"Something So Right" and "Ned and Stacey"--air on the same schedule. I never saw them during primetime, but, during off-days from school, I watch them. They're hysterical (Stacey from "N&S" is Debra Messing, who currently plays Grace Adler on "Will & Grace"), and the addition of these two atrocities will only lower their value.

That's what they said ... here's a summary of a Reuters article I sent to my sister several months ago:

The production team Bright/Kauffman/Crane announced today that they have signed a production deal with Warner Bros. that will last only through 2002. Marta Kauffman has signed a solo deal with WB that begins in 2002. Kevin Bright has signed a solo deal that begins immediately, and includes some additional directing projects. David Crane has not signed a new deal, and will not until "Friends" is over. He doesn't know what he will want to do, and he hasn't ruled out re-teaming with Kauffman (who has been his writing partner since college) and/or Crane. He and Marta Kauffman both expressed a sense of exhaustion from their three-sitcom schedule and emphasized that for the next two years they will be concentrating only on "Friends." Kauffman and Crane said that Kevin Bright thrives on multiple projects and will continue to spend the same amount of time on "Friends" while taking on new projects.

You know what else is disturibing? I used to be able to watch 2 episodes a day of Friends, but just this week they replaced one of them with Home Improvement (This show sucks!) and on the second of October, they're going to show Spin City, so I have a feeling that I might have to go Friends free until Thursdays :(

Honey you think you got it bad they did the same thing here but they replaced one ep of Friends with The Simpsons! I think I could handle Home Improvement but The Simpsons? I am thoroughly upset :( :(

Theres people who don't like The Simpsons in the world? Whats that about? Everyone loves The Simpsons. Its a rule.

Oh yikes. Looks like I won't be tuning in to (or taping from) USAm anymore.

What really irks me about "Jesse" is that NBC plugged it so hard in its inception as "from the producers of Friends." In other words, it's a sucky show, but as long as it's "from the producers of Friends,"...well, that's enough reason to watch, right? It certainly wasn't great testimony for "the producers of Friends."

And another thing, before I get off my soap box, is that NBC kept both VC and Jesse on life supports for like 3 years a piece, but refused to give one of my faves, "Freaks and Geeks" a chance.
