Yes, I will - but before that, I think it's clever to figure out which episodes haven't been transcribed yet. 903 and 904 are both available at www.eigo-i.com, so I'll get in on the list on 910.

I don't think so. You did an excellent job with 907 IMO, and I would prefer to post a transcript either complete or not at all.

Great! - I have a mirror of thecfsi on my local machine (besides some other stuff about friends I gathered over time) and am currently reworking the HTML source to my liking (i.e. converting it to XHTML 1.0 strict, adding CSS, and giving all the pages a clear navigation in the same look & feel - and yeah, I'm one of those persistant <dciwam/>-lurkers.) ;-))

Hmm? What exactly is "difficult" with the URL at the TU Clausthal? (Which is, btw, some mere 20 km away from where I live (Seesen). :-)

The differences are mostly in the descriptions of the scenes (who is where and does what, etc.). Otherwise (in the dialogues) his and my version are pretty much identical. And since English isn't *my* mother tongue either, I think I'm not really *that* qualified for finding and correcting errors...

There're three versions of each transcript on my site: .txt, .html and xhtml -- most people will see the HTML version, Mozilla users the XHTML one and Lynx users probably plain text. There were plans for XML versions, too.

There's no place to hide ... I should probably bring up the issue of how to best mark up transcripts / dialogs there.

yaftm.[de, info, biz, net, com, org] are still available.

Nothing, I hope, except that it's not that easy to remember, if you've never heard of Clausthal.

FYI: the Apache 1.3.27 on anubis.rz.tu-clausthal.de doesn't seem to like the HTTP-request that my IE5 sends when trying to get a transcript: I keep getting a 406 (not acceptable) with a list of available variants. Mozilla, Opera and Lynx work just fine, although it's pretty funny how different the Pages look in the different browsers. (I realize that in the XHTML version, you incorporate /screen.css in addition to /friends/transcripts/friends.css, hence the different look...) - I made some screenshots nonetheless and put them on <http://www.shonet.de/screenshots.zip> [195 KB, TIFF format with deflate compression], so you can check them out.

Sounds like a good idea - it's definitely worth a try, IMO.

Are you referring to <http://www.eigo-i.com/friends/transcript/905>? I was under the impression that Scott Silveri was the writer of that episode, not the transcriber - just as you mention him as writer in your transcript on <http://home.tu-clausthal.de/~ktcwcp/friends/transcripts/905.html>.

That's more or less my fault (or yours): .htaccess in the friends directory has "DefaultLanguage en" and in fact all documents are in English, but your browser sends only "Accept-Language: de" and maybe others, but not en, thus there's no really matching document.

Errmm... right. My fault; I didn't think of .htaccess... I added [Accept- Language: en] in the IE and now it works as it should.

When I first stumbled across it, I thought it *was* your version, somewhat reworked and without giving you proper credit. - But since Coffee Mug's transcript of 907 can be found there too (with proper credit), it seems rather unlikely.
