3/20 Prelim Ratings - Friends Wins with March Madness on CBS

Since there won't be any article this week, here are the preliminary ratings. With March Madness in the mix in place of Survivor and CSI and a lot of news coverage, a Friends repeat had no problem winning the night, followed by a new episode of Scrubs. The big news, though, was Wisconsin beating Weber State on CBS. :-P

• Friends Repeat: 9.8/15
• Scrubs: 9.4/14
• Dateline Special (10:00-11:00): 9.1/14
• Will & Grace Repeat: 9.0/13
• Good Morning Miami: 8.7/13
• ABC News Special (8:00-11:00): 7.4/11
• NCAA Tournament (WISCONSIN OVER WEBER STATE :D): 5.2/8
• Fox News Special (8:00-10:00): 4.1/6

Well, Chicagoland only got to watch the last 5 minutes or less due to protest coverage, so I'm sure the ratings around here weren't good.

They adjust for markets that don't see the network programming so they don't affect the ratings.

Except for a missed lay-in with 1 second left, there was almost a third Wisconsin team in the mix this weekend. Instead, we only get two.

Yeah, and what a great game that was. Four missed layups toward the end by UWM, including the one at the buzzer, but they totally deserved to win that game.

I have to disagree there. I'm one of those cynics who says it doesn't really matter what the statistics look like. The only statistic that matters is the score at the end. ;-)

Did you catch the Wisconsin game last night? I went to it in Minneapolis with a big group of people. We played really well, and it was within a point in the final two minutes, but a couple little mistakes at the end blew our chance at the biggest upset of this year's tourney. Still, an amazing season for us this year, including a second Big Ten title in a row and a trip to the Sweet Sixteen.

I had to watch from South Carolina--a shame to live in Minneapolis and be away when the Badgers are playing there. It was a good game. I picked Kentucky to win in my NCAA tournament bet though. Of course, I picked Kentucky over Marquette too. I guess you can't keep WI teams down completely.

I have Kansas over Texas in the final, so after years of horrible picks, I actually have a shot at winning three different pools this year.
