803 was filmed in August. I guess they thought a little doodle wasn't worth refilming a scene for. I had the same thought as you though so maybe they should've done!

It was the Empire State Building. The doodle recreated a scene from "King Kong", where the ape climbs the building with Fay Wray and is attacked by airplanes. I also thought it was in questionable taste.

Those who have the EW Friends Guide can see the picture perfectly. I didn't think much of it since it wasn't the twin towers...I think if the towers were drawn they would have definately have changed it, either by reshooting, or editing the film. They didn't know about 9/11 in August, so it couldn't be done in bad taste.

I didn't see it. But I figured huge apes climbing on buildings implies apes destructing buildings a lot as well.

It was filmed before what happened and they would have likely had to either spend quite a bit of money to change the magnadoodle digitally or risk reshooting and potentially having those particular scenes be less humorous with later delivery. Alot of the time, comedy magic happens on the spur of the moment. They probabely didn't have enough extra footage either to replace the shots with something else and couldn't call the cast back from things they had already scheduled. I am not exactly sure of these things and am only stating possibilities. I love to check the magna-doodle every episode and thought it was actually nice that they were willing to get on with things. I honestly like the idea of editing the WTC out of new episodes that were filmed earlier because they don't exist anymore but have found some of the attempts at editing them out of old episodes and such actually insensitive. That is a different issue though so I will stop right here. I support them though for ahving courage.
