If there's a tenth season, I'l watch it. But part of me hates the prospect of having the writers *not* wrap up the significant storylines this season. Another season, it seems to me, would mean the writers going into "string 'em along" mode. *Sigh.*

IF? There IS going to be a tenth season, as of yesterday! They're still negotiating the details, but we're getting a full tenth season!!! Read the New York Times article.

I've wondered this before with popular shows that the cast was getting tired of... why not have just three or four specials instead of a whole season's worth? One would hope that the stock situations and other expedients to fill up the schedule wouldn't be needed, at least not as much.

Turns out the cast didn't demand more money after all. :-) They're still receiving a million bucks per episode. It's just Warner Bros. that gets more money to cover the lack of syndication money from the new season.

So four fewer episodes means they'll actually make four million bucks less next season than they will this season.
