But how does Rachael feel?

Everyone keeps talking about Joey's feelings. Have I missed something? Where did Rachael ever act remotely interested in Joey other than as a friend? I don't think she like's him that way. If she does, it will shock me. But I predict Joey is the one who is going to be in for the rude awakening.

I feel the same way. I like Joey a lot but there has not been ONE indication from Rachel that she has feels any more friendship towards him. Its been played really well. But, poor Joey is going to have a broken heart.

The trouble is that some are using past references between the two to suggest that Rachel may have romantic feelings for Joey when there actually have been none. You made a valid point as no one knows how Rachel will react in a situation she is totally unaware of.

Having said that I still believe Marcel has more intelligence than Joey and stands a better chance with Rachel than Joey ever will.

Joey has matured a lot and we now see that he is capable of love beyond that found under the sheets. If Rachel didn't still love Ross (My Opinion) and Joey weren't her best friend and like a brother to her then I don't see any reason why she wouldn't fall in love with him!

*grin* I get the point. Well there is another possibility to consider; that of Rachel not wanting to be the girl that comes between two best friends. She should know being the smart one that it might make the situation awkward for Ross and therefore rescinding even in the remote possibility she has feelings for Joey. But I do hope this pans out to Ross and Rachel examining their feelings for each other.

I believe that they threw the story of Joey's unpresidented love for Rachel for two reasons. To show Joey's maturation so that they can eventually get Phoebe and Joey together in a lasting relationship and also to lay the ground work for a R&R reunion. I know that you are hanging onto hope that Rachel and Joey become an item so that Ross and Phoebe are free to fall in love. I just don't see this happening. :o)

There was this white-faced capuchin on the show during the first 2 years. Anyone remeber its name? I would fancy its chances over Joey's at winning Rachel over. That primate always did have a leg up on Tribbiani.
