You are right - it is not fair ! Sometimes those of us in the US take things for granted.
If you are a fan of "Friends" you should be able to watch it the same time as we do no matter where you live.
There are some other shows that I cannot get locally unless I have a satellite dish..... maybe someday.

Yeah well..we don't get the VHS/ DVDs here so nothing is ever fair. I feel for you guys though, it's been an eternity (seemingly) since the finale until now, and I can't imagine having to wait weeks or months to have to watch it knowing other people are seeing the new ones.

I think it was mainly called America Online in the US and AOL elsewhere (the first name being stupid for any other country), but now the US version has probably been branded AOL too.
Aol is also available in Canada, the UK, Brazil, and probably a lot of other places. I know because I have people on my buddy list who use aol, who aren't Americans. Lol one girl even sent me a screen shot of the UK version of aol 4.0.

AOL is extremely unpopular with anyone whos progressed past the WWW usually in the UK but it may not be like that everywhere. I always thought the concept was great in a "i wish I came up with it" kind of way but i'd never want to use it :)

Its bizarre watching people abroad talking about ISP problems that the UK somehow sidestepped totally. Every ISP I know of simply uses a static local code. I think its very hard to find an ISP with a real phone number anymore here.

I disagree - I'd go insane if I had to have just a couple of new episodes and then re-runs !!
And an extra advert break after the opening and before the closing credits !!
And the closing credits doing that weird sliding over and going diagonal thing so they can show a trailer next to it...
Lets wait until january - all episodes in 23 weeks, just the one advert break - and being able to buy them on tape before the series is even finished !!
