Aniston Says 'Friends' Will Part Ways After This Season Mon, Aug 27, 2001 04:57 PM PDT

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Despite reports that the show may still go on, Jennifer Aniston says that cast of "Friends" is gearing up to say good-bye by the end of this season.
"Oh God, it's really heart-breaking for me, every time I think about it I'm on the verge of tears, I really am," Aniston tells Zap2it.com while talking about her role in the in the Warner Bros. film "Rock Star."
"When this will be over, it will be hard, it's hard for me to think about right now. We have all shared so many crossroads of our lives together, and then we're all going to go our separate ways, it's too hard to think about."
So far, the cast has shot three episodes for this season, and Aniston says that Matthew Perry, recently out of re-hab "is doing fine."
"I'm really proud of him."
With the pregnancy of her "Friends" character revealed at the end of last season, rumors quickly sprung up that Aniston herself was expecting a child with husband Brad Pitt. Aniston says she found the speculation "funny," and believes that she personally will be a better mother than Rachel.
"She's going to have to grow up, and she's going to realize that it's not as wonderful and perfect as she wants it to be -- being a single mother," says the actress. "She's going to see how hard it is, too."
"Rock Star," co-starring Mark Wahlberg, opens Friday, Sept. 7, and Aniston has another independent film coming up called "The Good Girl." Even though her feature film career is moving right along, she's not sure what will come once "Friends" ends and she doesn't have a day job tying her down.
"I don't know, I hope something good," she laughs.
