"uncut" episodes shorter than broadcast versions???

Just got 809-816 "uncut" from #downloadfriends and I was surprised to see that 813 and 816 were actually shorter than the broadcast versions?! What's that all about?

I guess the uncut episodes are made from the UK DVDs which are PAL, while broadcast versions are US TV-rips in NTSC. PAL has 25frames/second, NTSC 29.97 or 30. If the conversion isn't done well, one version might run faster than the other. For movies (24f/s) this is common practice, PAL versions are speeded up by 4%.

But that's just a guess.

Is there a noticable difference in the content? i.e. are there scenes missing. I've often noticed that PAL runs much faster than NTSC rips.

Lol, watch an NTSC episode, then watch a PAL video, especially one with fast movement. It's noticable that they move much faster when walking in the PAL vids.
