Monica's balcony

I don't know if anyone has noticed this before, but Monica's balcony has shrunk over the years...

When I watched TOW Chandler Doesn't like dogs (the scene with Rachel and Tag on the balcony) I noticed that it was pretty small, but I remembered one scene (from TOW George Stephanopoulos) where the girls were sitting on it and it was a lot bigger... I checked with that episode, and saw it has shrunk something like 2 meters / 6 feet... (see the wall where the 'secret closet' should be)

Maybe Monica cleaned it with water that was a bit too hot. ;o)

In Season 1, they were in a different studio, which could be part of the reason behind the shrinkage. The street outside Central Perk in Season one was just a backdrop. Now it is a full set.

I know, but it's so much cooler to go through the window though... Maybe it's like a rooftop of a lower floor where they just built the brick walls on. (so it's kinda like an illegal balcony) We know that the outline of the set and the New York shots don't match anyway, so it's possible.
