TV TICKETS

Hello. My name is Addison Marchese. I have been watching Friends for the past few years. The show has made a huge impact on my life. I watch it everyday. I have tons of recorded episodes, and even a dog named Phoebe. I just found out that Friends was shot in front of a live audience and I wanted to go. I found out that it was sold out for the rest of the season. It's my birthday tomorrow. I would love to go. If you can help me in any way please let me know. I'll be willing to pay money for the tickets, i only want 2.

just turn up at the studios a few hours in advance and they should squeeze ya in. If not, put your case to someone who has tickets and see if they'll sell to ya...

For those of you who have gotten tickets before, I have a question. If they do end up with a season 7 and I want to request tickets from the Audiences Unlimited folks, can I request them for a certain month? I know I won't be out to L.A. until March or April and I would hate to end up with tickets for January or something.

As far as I know, it's just a crap shoot. You send in a request, and you wait. If you don't get a rejection within a few months, then you'll probably get tickets. Also, they only send out tickets about 6 weeks before the filming, so you wouldn't know until then. It is definitely inconvenient, but I guess they have enough show up that it isn't a problem to them. If I were you, I'd try to get any tickets you can, and see if someone wants to trade.

Or, I know Larissa said that you can't just show up, but I heard something else. She may be right, but if she's not (sorry Larissa, I don't mean to step on your toes, you're probably right...I'm not sure about my theory) you can show up there. I heard that they put you in the lowest status line, and that you went in if and when no one else showed up, as people left. And that means you would only see the middle/end of the show.

Yeah that's true, you could get there and be let in if they need more people as others are leaving, I suppose. But they always majorly overbook so there won't be empty seats, and people with tickets have been turned away at every single filming so far. If you just show up without being on any list or having tickets, I'd give you about a .5% chance of getting in. Yes, that decimal point was deliberate - half a percent. :)

This is a bit off-topic so I apologize. As I said, I plan to take a trip to L.A. next spring. I want to stay near the studios, Sunset, that general area. Can anyone give me the names of a couple of hotels that might be worth staying in? I can get a list of hotels in the area from various websites, but I would like to know from someone who has actually been to one and can tell me how much they spent and whether it was worth the money or not.

First of all, if you stay on Sunset, you're not "near" the studios. This doesn't answer your direct question, but having lived in Hollywood, I'd look for a motel in Toluca Lake, it's a really nice area and Friends tons of other shows are taped at Warner Brothers...you could walk there from Toluca Lake. On the other hand...Culver City has Sony Pictures Studios and they shoot alot of shows there, too. And they're NOT "near" each other. Do more research of what you wanna see & do first.
