One more year please.

I know many of you are calling for the cancellation of the show, but I disagree. I think they should come back for one more year. I'll be the first to admit that this hasn't been a very good season. Too many lack luster episodes. But I think one more season would give the writers a chance to tie up loose ends. It would give them time to focus on important issues such as their relationships, instead of wasting time on broken refrigerator storylines.

Also, is the anyone here that thinks Ross will end up with Elizabeth? I doubt it. We know where he belongs. And to you R&R bashers out there, please save it. R&R fans have suffered long enough. We have been there since day one. As longtime loyal fans, we deserve some satisfaction. However, with only 2 episodes left to be filmed, it's just not enough time for a satisfying ending. If the come back next year knowing it's the final season, more time can be focused on putting these two back together properly.

Also, what happens to Joey and Phoebe? Are they not important? Do they just leave these two hanging with no type of conclusion. They should be with somebody, maybe each other.

Finally, Chandler and Monica. I'll admit they've grown on me. If they want to mary them, I say great, go for it. But don't rush it together in the last 2 episodes.

I cannot imagine my Thursday nights without my favorite Friends. I say one more year. Definitely.

The two things that I'd like to see happen if there is another season.

1.  Direct control of the show by TPTB.  Kauffman, Bright & Crane turned out
a brilliant episode in the fantasy show.  It showed that when they're in
charge (and Michael Lembeck directing) that the first season chemistry and
realism can work.  These three clearly understand what these characters are
about.  They also seem to CARE about the characters.  They make them seem
realistic. (Look, doesn't it say something that the most "realistic" show of
this season was a "fantasy" episode?)
    2.  The characters begin acting like adults, as Moron Cow stated in
another post in this thread.  This means going out and getting their own
places.  We all know there's no way in hell these characters could afford
the spacious apartments they have anyway in NYC, so I think we're willing to
suspend disbelief if Rachel and Phoebe and Joey all start living on their
own.  Ross should start acting like he's Ben's father, and not like he's
Ben's son.  The most recent episodes show Ross is starting to act normal
again (in terms of not being quite so geeky or Red Ross-like) and that's a
good sign.  Even Skinny Monica has seemed more like Fat Monica (baking pies
for Phoebe) and has been more than just an anal neat freak.
   If their plans for a season seven would be more totally pointless things
like Elle MacPherson coming on or Let's Get a Date for Rachel, then it's
time to go.

Actually, we're just wanting better plot lines. And the Refrigerator plotline was good, I didn't like teh "Get a guy for Rachel" thing.

And one thing just about everyone is begging for is for the characters to act 30, not 20.

Dearheart (My friend calls people this ALL THE TIME), No one is gonna yell at you! Most everyone agrees. but, if they even think about getting them together and then breaking them up, I would not want them back together for them just to do that.

I recently watched thte first episode and The essence of the show from the start was Ross and Rachel, they must get back togehter!!
