And the honors went to Sex & the City. Friends made a remarkable comeback this season after a pathetic showing in seasons 6 & 7. Perhaps the judges figured Friends was in the wrong category. The producers should look back at seasons 1 to 4 to draw out what's missing.

I don't think pathetic is exactly the word. Friends was still one of the top rated sitcoms, even in seasons 6 and 7.
Yeah, and some of the episodes were pretty good. Critics just like to agree with other critics so they are not left out, that's all.

Actually, I am fairly positive this nomination was for Season 7, since Season 8 has not completed airing. Next year, if Friends receives a nomination, it will be for Season 8.
