EW.com article: What's next for Rachel and Joey?

Ken Tucker has always been a big idiot when it comes to reviewing sitcoms. I thought Rachel's reaction was very realistic and fit the situation perfectly. They had been nothing but friends for 7 years, and any romantic indications she ever got from Joey were always just him being him. Taking this in mind it makes perfect sense that her first reaction was that he was joking. The scene was magic, Aniston and LeBlanc played it perfectly. Ken Tucker is a moron.

I've found its TV CRITICS, not necessarily TV viewers, that have the lethal short attention span. They seem to want it all, especially what's in THEIR minds, as if creative people need to bring about individual ideas of individual critics. They can't get that stories like this one play themselves out in due time as the creators intend. They think they saw the whole thing, imagining only ther worst (contrived) nightmare following the pivotal moment. Who of us KNOW how it will play out in the long run? Ken Tucker, contrary to his aparent 6th-sense asperations, doesn't know.

There is an obviously inadvertant hint of what I'm thinking of all this in Tucker's last paragraph (as writen in this ng). Plus, EW critics often go with the more negative accessment whenever possible, I find.
