Was anyone else kind of disappointed by the episode? For the first half I was all psyched, watching, waiting... but I felt kind of let down at the end. (I did think the little tip of the hat to the Rachel dying rumors was cute "I kind of hope it's the girl!")

If you are German: Das is der Platz, der in deinen Newsreader erscheint, damit du nich siehst was die Leute zu einer Episode schreiben, die m�glicherweise nicht alle gesehen haben. Also wenn du �ber eine Episode was schreiben willst, die noch nicht gelaufen ist (hier meist in England) dann erst ein paar Zeilen frei lassen und "spoiler space" reinschreiben und auch m�glichst schon in den Betreff.

Apart from 2 lurkwarm laughs; Gunther - RACHEL?? (how many times have they used this?) and the waiter's snide gay remark at the end, the rest of the episode wasn't funny at all. Plenty of time must have been spent inserting the laugh tracks. Finally someone who thought this was a crappy episode. Well, if i want to see stuff like this i watch the rerunns of party of five or something. I always thought this was supposed to be a sitCOM. This wasn't one of the most serious eppies. It was one of the least funny eppies too. I love the serious moments on friends. I really do. But come on. We've been waiting for weeks to see this?! The olympic games weren't funny at all so i was really looking forward to an episode of my favorite _sitcom_. Well, i thought this was disapointing. I see that it was important for the story line and all but they could have wraped it in a couple of jokes. The only real joke was the Gunther "Rachel?" one and that was lame compared to other episodes.

The Joey telling Rachel scene at the end was certainly a major letdown for all the hype leading into it. Definitely not a memorable moment in my opinion and what's more, David Schwimmer dominated the scenes with Matt Le Blanc in this episode. What I did realized after watching the episode is the major impediment to a future Joey and Rachel storyline appears to be Le Blanc's acting ability. Don't get me wrong, he's extremely talented in comedy but is unconvincing in a dramatic role as we witnessed in 816. David Schwimmer on the other hand shows more versatility and a better flair for drama. TOW The Morning After and the TOW Ross Finds Out are classic moments of Schwimmer and Aniston's versatility and chemistry. Try and imagine how Le Blanc will have performed if he had been in David's shoes in those scenes.

Episode 8-16 will not go on the record as one of the funnier episodes. It was more along the lines of a sweet episode. I would mark this one as a transition episode--one that gets us from the first part of the season to the next part. Everything is out in the open, and now we can start seeing some new things again. This might be a good time to see more from Monica, Chandler, and Phoebe.
