OT: Good news server

(OT means off topic, I hope.)

Does anyone know of a good news server? I'm currently using news.individual.net (formerly news.cis.dfn.de), but it seems to be very slow nowadays. I can also use the news server provided by my Internet Service Provider Bredbandsbolaget (a large Swedish broadband company) news.bredband.net. But I haven't used that one in a while because it has had a tendency to download some postings several times, creating doubles or marking read messages as unread. So I'd like to know if there is any free news service out there that you can recommend.

oh, i just remembered that they don't allow posting on the free account, so that might not be the best idea. however, if you can't find anything else, it might be better than nothing - you can always use your normal news server when you want to post.

I use http://news.individual.net/ You have to register for a username and password, and then you can post and read for free. Not sure if it will be faster for you, but I never noticed any problems.
