Ok I would just like to say a few words. I know that many people are not going to agree with me on this but maybe some will. Anyway I am always reading about people comparing Ross' three divorces to Rachel and how she ran out on Barry and how one of Ross' three failed marriages was to her well I never really saw it this way. In Ross' cause the first divorce was very werid because of the fact that Carol turned out to be a lesbein. I don't really think this was Ross's fault but it leaves him "divorced from a pregnant lesbien" and with Emily I think that was totally Ross' fault because yes Rachel flew to London to tell him she was in love with him, but she didn't. In a way Rachel comming to the wedding was good because she saw how "in love" Ross was with Emily and she was there for his wedding which made him feel good. Everyone should have won except for some far out reason Ross said Rachel's name. Now the third so called marriage was to Rachel in Vegas, but this would not have been a big deal except I think it was piled ontop of Ross' other two divorces which made it easeir for people to make fun of him . I think that in Rachel cause she had never been divorced so it didn't seem so funny. I also think that in that situation Rachel recieved a lot of symapthy because of the fact that Ross lied to her and told her he had gotten the annulment. If she had never answered the phone and she eventaully wanted to get married she could be in trouble because she was legally wed to Ross. Also Rachel and Ross were very cute but I always thought on some level Rachel was a rebound off of Carol because you can clearly see that Ross really loves Carol and the marriage did not end on the fact that they were not in love anymore at least Ross was still in love with her. She was a lesbien. In the pilot when Ross walks in he is very upset over the fact that Carol moved out her stuff. Then later he asks Rachel if it would be alright if he asked her out some time. I think that Ross did love Rachel but on some level he still loved Carol as well. I also think that the reason Ross slept with Chole was of his fear of losing Rachel although I do not excuse him for doing so I feel it was fear of losing Rachel that led him to sleep with Chole. He did not think, he was upset and he was drunk. On the other issue of the list; Ross broke up with two girlfriends to go to Rachel Julie and Bonnie and both of these were very nice people. I don't think he should have kissed Rachel knowing he was still with Julie. In my opinion out of all his girlfriends Julie was the best (besides Rachel) Ok on to Rachel and Barry. I think that Rachel could have handled that situation better, but however I think that it was better to run out on Barry then to marry him when she didn't love him because eventually they would have had to get divorced and what about if they had any children. On top of that Barry was having an affair with Mindy before they were supposed to get married. So I think that Barry was not a good candiate for marriage. I suppose the same agruement could be used for Emily but I think that she was justified in thinking the way she did because Ross did say Rachel's name at the wedding and he did take her on their honeymoon. This was just a cause of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but Emily was all ready to forgive Ross until he gave the extra ticket to Rachel. Just a few thoughts on the Joey/Ross/Rachel situation. I know that it has been pretty dormant for the last few eposoides and this could be considered closure, but I think that Ross and Rachel were close in the first few seasons which then Rachel and Jowy became close. In 119 Rachel is afraid of losing Ross and in season 8 she is afraid of losing Joey they seem to shift. Rachel and Ross kind of lose their closeness and Joey and Rachel gain theirs. I am suprised we didn't see something like this happening sooner.
And if anyone is wondering. Yes I know it is just a tv show.
