Has anyone else noticed or been bothered by the fact that, in all of the first three episodes so far this season, Rachel doesn't REALLY seem pregnant (except for the sonogram). I mean yeah they continue to talk about the pregnancy, but she doesn't really seem like a real pregnant woman. No morning sickness, no lack of energy, etc... that women, who are early in their pregnancy, usually get! It just seems that the writers could make it more realistic. I know that she isn't showing yet, but when I look at Rachel or watch her I don't see someone that is pregnant. Monica did say "Any morning sickness yet", but it was blown off. I'm just looking for more!!!

Putting it in every spoiler is kind of the point... see, if people don't put it then sometimes a non-spoiler-reading person might click on a post that contained a spoiler and have the episode ruined for them. If there's a spoiler space, that won't happen. It's probably more annoying to have the episode crapped up for you than to have to scroll down a couple of inches!

People who haven't watch any of the season 8 episodes don't know for sure that Rachel is really pregnant. And this thread is discussing why isn't acting all pregnant like. Even websites like mrshowbiz.com put in spoiler warning for speculations on this season. So put the spoiler space in anything concerning this season.

Anywho, AOL's newsreaders (both on-line and off-line) does indeed list subjects such that you can pick which ones you want to read, but the thing is, when you start reading a thread, in both cases, the window you get does not tell you when that thread is overwith. Unfortunately, the "NEXT" button takes you to the next message, *whether in this thread or in the next one*, and while you are reading *this* thread, you can't tell if the next one is a spoiler thread or not. So you hit NEXT one too many times, and voila! Gotcha.
Pine on Unix is much the same way, though at least there you can go through the list of subjects and mark which messages you don't want to read (mark them as already read in other words). However, the latest version of Pine I've used doesn't support threading, so you end up having to mark each message individually.
In other words, in these and some other newsreaders, the most natural way of reading postings leaves you somewhat vulnerable to spoilers.
You think it is a pain to hit CR 20 times? Let me tell you what a pain truly is: reading one posting, then returning to the message list or subject list to make sure the next message isn't a spoiler, reading the next message, then returning to the message list or subject list to make sure the next message isn't a spoiler, reading the next message, then returning to the message list or subject list to make sure the next message isn't a spoiler, ... ad infinitum. --- James Squire - http://members.aol.com/jamess1889

I know of women who've been more energetic than ever and had no problems with things like morning sickness, but I also know of women who had to stop working very early on because the symptoms made them feel so awful. Plus she's only a month pregnant in Friends time, IIRC most women don't start suffering from any symptoms until at least 6 weeks anyway.

Sorry, first post here, but I just had to comment, last week, Rachel made a comment about needing to go take a nap, which is usually a classic sign of pregnancy. God knows-I am in my 20th week and I have been taking naps every day since about a week after I found out-and while I have been queasy a lot, no actual throwing up.

I DO know that some people have classic signs of pregnancy and some don't. Everyone seems to have missed my initial point. THIS IS A SHOW. They can do anything they want and I would just like to see Rachel more as being pregnant b/c I still see her as the old Rachel. Their just doesn't seem like that much has changed, except for the story context. They could make her have two heads if they wanted to. Do you understand now :)

Not all women get those symptoms. Most don't have it until around 8 weeks. Six weeks is actually pretty early and tons of people don't even realize they're pregnant by that time, so it's highly likely that she has no symptoms yet. I know I didn't have any until around 8-9 weeks.
