"IT'S GIRL TROUBLE FOR CHANDLER, DOUBLE-TROUBLE FOR JOEY AND EGO TROUBLE FOR RACHEL: Chandler (Matthew Perry) buys an anniversary gift for Monica Courteney Cox Arquette), but when she reminds him that they promised to make their gifts themselves, he scrambles to find something that looks homemade -- and accidentally gives her a gift he was given by an ex-girlfriend. Grin - they're actually giving Ross and Rachel some storylines together. About blimmin' time, too. :)

Sounds great to me. =) Their work together is fun to watch even if nothing romantic is going on (but I of course prefer it when there is).

I'm happy, as well that there's finally some r and r storyline, even if it's not romantic. But i can't help but wonder how they can NOT make anything happen with them!!!!!!!! Ross JUST infered that he wants to get back together. She said she was speechless.C'mon already!! Kiss and make up! Stop dragging us along.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I think they've made the characters involved Ross and Rachel for a reason... if nothing else, at least we know that they *are* going to be in the same room again after Thursday's ep. And now that I know that that's the case, I'm actually looking forward to the fantasy ep a lot more.

I am not as optomistic as you are about R&R having made any romantic progress as a result of Chandler Can't Cry. However, it is becoming very, very clear that both characters are more effective, funnier and more likeable when they interact with each other, even a non-romantic setting. Having Ross talk to Rachel works better than making him crazy. Having Rachel talk to Ross works better than having her sit around doing her nails and not doing Ralph Lauren.

That in and of itself may improve this show.

Well, like I said, I'm looking forward to the fantasy ep a fair bit more, now that I know we're *not* going to be seeing R&R kept completely seperate until May again, which was my major fear. And you're right, I think it *will* improve the show. But the sink thing is one of those things that could go either way, as I think I said. (And besides, I like looking on the positive side with this. Makes a nice change from all the humdrum of my regular life. :))

I've always felt it was pretty clear that they do their best work when they do it together. And although I don't know what's going to result from TOW Chandler Can't Cry, I'll still hope for the best... and keep watching that last scene until something else comes up.
