Did anyone else find it strange that Monica spent an entire recent episode stressing that Rachel's mother was mad at her, but then when she realized that her entire cooking class hated her in the most recent episode she said she didn't care?

I think she has a problem with elders, probably brought on by her parents who never cut her a break. Most in the class were either peers, younger students, or simply new cooks who posed no threat.
I think she didn't care because she knew they hated her because she was a better chef than them. Being competative, I can see Monica just caring about her being the best and not caring who gets left behind.
i dont think that was it. in the cooking class, monica had just gotten a star from the instructor, and was very excited, and her i dont care comment was probably referenced to that. monica stressing that rachels mother did not like her was more true to form. monica, i think has a self image/esteem problem. i have seen way too many episodes( more so recently) where she does things to get people to like her, and she is always craving for acceptence. think about it and let me know if you agree
