He's not in immediate danger so they said on LW Radio Atlantic 252 the most shite station in the uk, I relly don't know why I was listening but he siad that he needs a new liver (That's not a problem for someone with his fame) and he needs it pretty soon. Is this a result of the accident?? It's weird that there was nothing in the us about it, the same thing happened when there were rumours about season 7 and 8 in the uk and they turned out false so PLEASE TELL ME IT'S NOT TRUE!!

HOLLYWOOD, May 25, 2000 -- What's been ailing "Friends star Matthew Perry? The flu? A diet? A "serious stomach ailment?" Or liver disease?
The most dire diagnosis comes via a British news tabloid which reports today that the 30-year-old actor has been told he needs a transplant. It is a report that Perry's camp has branded as "completely untrue."
"Contrary to what is being reported as fact in regards to Matthew Perry's health, it is completely untrue that he needs a liver transplant," a statement from Perry's publicist said today. "He has been out of the hospital for a number of days and is feeling much better."
Additionally, an official Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- the facility where the Sun claimed Perry had been readmitted -- told Hollywood.com that the star "was not there."
Still, something of a mystery remains surrounding Pery's health.
Stateside supermarket tabloids said Perry's stomach troubles stemmed from a crash diet. In an interview with People magazine on Monday, Perry himself chalked up his troubles to a "serious stomach ailment": "I went into the hospital to be treated for a serious stomach ailment, and fortunately, I'm feeling much better."
According to People, the rumor on the "Friends" set is that Perry has come down with pancreatitis -- an inflamation of the pancreas.
Perry and his five "Friends" co-stars recently inked a $240 million deal to remain with the hit NBC sitcom another two years. Perry also recently escaped unscathed from a weekend car crash in which he ran his Porsche into a Hollywood Hills home to avoid an oncoming vehicle. Drugs and alcohol were not suspected in the accident.
