Oh, I love that most (yes most) people are not using spoiler space and yet I am the one being screamed at!!! You know, when I was not using spoiler warnings, it was a lapse in thinking, and not knowing (by mistake) but because all of you are being so harsh to me it really makes me not want to post them at all. After I apoligized for my mistake in not posting spoilers I was more than willing to post them for those who are new to the group or who aren't aware that this newsgroup is full of spoilers. All of you bitching have made this a bigger situation than it really is. The way that you have treated all of us who have forgotten to post spoilers has made us want to ruin it for you. I was new to this newsgroup when I forgot to put spoilers, but you know, I am now going to put spoilers in (not for you) but for those new to the newsgroup that are unaware of the stupid battle that you all are determined to win. Sorry for all of you newbies who are having to listen to crap, but aparently it is important to some people.

I know...I am so sick of all these people accusing us of being malicious by not posting spoiler space. When I right my posts, I spill what is on the top of my head and I just let it all flow out...I am sorry to non-Americans who haven't seen season 8 yet, but you must realize that Americans have the right to discuss our show and if you fear you will be spoiled, don't go in newsgroups or message boards, and to people who don't want to be spoiled for future episodes in the U.S, ditto. The whole spoiler space thing is also stupid because there is no clear cut definition of what a spoiler is; some say "anything not aired in the U.S", some say "anything which could be considered major news," and some say "anything that hasn't been aired in every country." Well that is too much of a stress on my brain, when it should be stressed on those who are complaining...if you are unhappy with the status quo of people discussing our favorite show, then you should have to go the extra mile by avoiding threads or newsgroups all together. We, however, are perfectly content with the way things work currently, so why should we have to adapt? Now, I know there are some exceptions, like people shouldn't post major breaking spoilers in their titles, but people: USE COMMON SENSE, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED...If one message asks about a spoiler or for info on upcoming episodes, DON'T READ THE REPLIES!!! Thank you, I just had to get all that off my chest, oh, and by the way...

The biggest problem is when someone starts a thread with a title such as "I have a question..." Then immediately in that post they start talking about a subject that would be considered a spoiler.
Most of thetime this happens when a newbie posts, and it is understandable. Someone will ask to please use spoiler space. Now, if this person repeatedly does it, it becomes annoying. They obviously have no respect for others in this newsgroup.
There are other things that people around the globe would like to talk about in the Friends newsgroup. They have been coming here for years to get it. Why should they leave now because a few people refuse to follow the so-called rules?

I think people should use common courtesy by not going out of their way to ruin things for others. I have been wrongfully accused of this in the past and it sucks. However, the small details like answering a question someone wrote in a post and forgetting to use spoiler space should not be that big of a deal in my opinion because spoilers don't personally bug me. If they do bug other people, they should do something about it, not us...and I don't know what Trigger is saying, but I'm really not trying to sound like a jerk :)

I never said Americans are "lovely and decent", and really I am not speaking for all Americans, just me. I just feel like sometimes it is difficult to remember posting spoiler space about an episode I have seen for a couple months already and others haven't. I also think the stereotypes don't help...I am not stereotyping any other nationality, so don't do that to America by saying "everyone" hates "us".

Genius! Why the hell is this so hard?! If you don't want spoilers, put the people in question in your killfile and get on with your life. Or, if the possibility of being spoiled will cause you to live in your room, crying for the next four months, stop coming here. Should they obey what is pretty much standard practice here? Yes. Are they going to change? No.
And please, can we stop saying how much America and its people blow? It might just be me, but I kinda like America - you know, the country that is responsible for this show that we all enjoy. If, for some reason, you don't like America, great. Fine.
But it is neither here nor there, and we Americans don't appreciate hearing about opinions you have based upon stereotypes. How would you feel if we ripped apart the British people for drinking tea all day long or called the British morons for spelling the word color with a "u"?

I am not saying we should at all maliciously spoil people in other countries just cause we see the episodes months before them, I am saying sometimes it is difficult to remember that other people haven't seen something that is old news to us. Yes, this is what I have been saying all along. I am not malicious! I don't ignore spoiler space because I want to ruin the show for others. It was an accident that I was not using them, a lapse in memory. You all have just yelled at me and others who have forgotten. Why would we want to do you a favor after the way that you have treated us. We made a mistake. And if my previous mistakes have offended you that bad then don't listen to me. But it was a mistake and I will correct it. I admit that I was wrong to not use spoiler space because of the way that a few of you have treated me and others, but I was not wrong for getting mad.
