How does Pheobe meet the rest of the friends for the first time?

The other 5 are very clear,

Monica: Ross' sister (101), Rachel's best friend in high school (101), Chandler in Thanksgiving '87 (508), Joey when he moves in with Chandler (306)

Ross: Monica's brother (101), Rachel in high school (101), Chandler in college (508), Joey when he moves in with Chandler (306)

Rachel: Monica and Ross in high school, Chandler in Thanksgiving '87 (508), Joey in Central Perk (101)

Chandler: Ross in college (508), Monica and Rachel in Thanksgiving '87 (508), Joey when he moves in with him (306)

Joey: Monica, Ross, Phoebe and Chandler when he moves in with Chandler (306), Rachel in Central Perk (101)

How do they meet Phoebe? I can see Rachel meets her in Central Perk (101), and Joey when he moves in (306). But when does she meet Monica, Ross and Chandler for the first time?

I seem to remember something about Monica having placed an ad for a roommate and Phoebe showed up. I could be totally off on that, but I can't think of it being explained any other way.

Sounds like what happened with Joey and Chandler, but I don't recall it relating to Phoebe and Monica.

That's what the writers have said in interviews--that Phoebe became Monica's roommate through ads.... though this has never been specifically referenced in the series--the furthest back we've ever seen was when she already moved out, but hadn't told Monica about it.

Yeah, never been said, but it seems like the only way that would make sense, since it just doesn't seem like Monica could have met her some other way being they seem to have little in common besides their friends.
