Am I the only one who thinks Janice bears striking resemblance to Fran Fine/Sheffield in 'The Nanny'?

You're not the only one. I think so too, however I liked The Nanny's character better :-)

Did I express myself in an incorrect manner? I was not only referring to the way they look, but also to their behaviour and in particular their voice. Was I using the word resemblance incorrectly?

umm, no, I guess itï¿½s me - my English seems fails me from time to time. I refered only to the overall attractiveness. Another problem is, I donï¿½t know the original voices, and the German synchron voices differ a lot, I donï¿½t know how Fran sounds usually, but itï¿½s not bad (as in the original?). Sorry. ciao

Fran Drescher played a small role on that lame sitcom about the t.v. station in Florida several months ago.

Maggie Wheeler (Janice) isn't a regular on Everybody Loves Raymond. She plays a peripheral character as she did on Friends. I taped the recent episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. I don't think Maggie's character, Linda, even spoke.
