Oh god. Why can't they get some half-decent British actors on? (Helen Baxendale for a start- brilliant actress, but they turned her into suchabitch. There's a rumour that she is returning..) Posh and Liz are all we need. Almost as bad as Elle MacPherson. How about having the cast of Cold Feet going on Friends, and showing everyone how Brits can really act...

Speaking of CF, what are ppls views when the critics compare it as the British equivalent to friends? IMO I love both but find CF characters *more* likeable if that's at all possible.

I really don't think it can be compared. As you say, it's in a league of its own. How much would Friends benefit from the guy who writes Cold Feet writing a few eps of Friends? He's a genius. I've met 15 year olds who watch CF, I watch CF, my father (61 yr old) watches it, and I had a lengthy discussion about it with an 84 year old. I know Friends has a broad fan base, but CF appeals to a huge spectrum of people. It's funny, the dream sequences are spot-on (I love Karen's about slagging off various people, ie at the baby get-together thing, and Jenny's when she hates her work).

I'd love to see James Nesbitt on Friends. More than anything in the world (...almost). And, bring back Jennifer Saunders on Friends! Preferably also introduce Dawn French and Emma Chambers (Honey in Notting Hill, Alice in The Vicar of Dibley).

Actually, who we need back is Jennifer Saunders of AbFab fame and Emily's stepmother from TOW Ross' Wedding. She is one of the funniest women I have ever seen. Her flirting with Ross scene was dead-on, as well as her cell-phone gig.

I think you underestimate Elle MacPherson's acting ability. There are few actors who can suck and blow at the same time.

I haven't heard anything about Liz Hurley but I did read that Susan Sarandon will be guesting as a " spoiled soap star from Days of Our Lives ".

Too bad she won't play herself because wasn't she on Ross' list of celebrity freebies? :)
