There's a lot of argument going on here about the quality or otherwise of season six. I'm undecided so far (we're not so far ahead here in the UK). One thing I'm sure of - whether it's a good or bad episode, the Joey bits make it all worthwhile. Matt Le Blanc is working his ass off to make every gag work. Even the low-quality gags are worth it for Joey's reaction. Where Friends, for the first three years or so, was the Chandler show, now it's the Joey show. Watch what Matt's up to when the main gags are going on, and you'll still find plenty of fun to be had. That boy's keeping the whole show going.

Has LeBlanc ever been nominated for an Emmy?

I think youre absolutely right. He's the best there is in the show. He gives me a good laugh! Looking forward to season six after the best one ever i think. Season 5 ended last night in my country The Netherlands. Neverland accoring to Joey. LOL

I think you're 100% spot on, Paul.

IMO Joey started out pretty much as the set up guy for Chandler's jokes, often being the butt of them. Maybe that's still true to a degree, but he is definitely up there as funniest character on the show. One stand out moment for me was at the new years party when he and Ross wanted to go to Janine's party, and Joey goes 'I want to *go*!!'. You're also right about his reacting (which does not mean acting again...), especially during his 'keeping Mon & Chans' relationship quiet' faze. Remember when he rumbles their clandestine relationship due to both Mon and Chan saying they'd seen Donald Trump waiting for an elevator? Hilarious.
