Unfortunately, its true, she was pregnant and did lose the baby sometime in May.
(8/29/01) Entertainment Tonight confirmed that CCA did have a miscarriage last Spring. Her doctors said she is okay and they can try again anytime. The reporter said CCA and David are doing fine. It must have been hard on the set of Friends for CCA with the Rachel pregnancy story but CCA has had the summer to get over the miscarriage and is ready to go for the final season of Friends.

ET Transcript: Julie: Friends news is our top hollywood story. Bob: People Magazine reports that Courteney Cox Arquette has suffered a miscarriage. How her co-stars helped her through the tragedy, and what her doctor says about them trying to have kids again–first up tonight. (clips of Courteney and David show in the background during the following) Larry Hackett (People Mag): Courteney Cox Arquette, we have confirmed, did have a miscarriage in the spring, her stepfather told us about that. Bob: Though Courteney couldn’t be reached for comment today, about the speculation that she and husband David Arquette were ever expecting, it appears that the couple is doing fine. Larry: Doctors have said she is free to conceive again and um, her family thinks that she and David are very eager to do that. (Cut to clip of Brad & Jen) Bob: Newlyweds Jennifer & Brad are relishing their life without kids for the time being. (cut to a clip of Lisa & Julian) and Lisa Kudrow is happy playing Mommy to 3 year old son Julian (cut to clip of Lisa & Michel) with husband Michel Stern. The 2 frequently visit her at work. Larry: Julian gets to hang out in the nursery with the children of producers and other cast members. There’s at least half a dozen kids who are there. (pause) Earning a reported $750,000 an episode, the Friends have maintained that this, their eight season, will likely be their last. But NBC has made it clear the network would like to have them back for another run. And People also reports that the stars stood by Matthew Perry, while he was in rehab last February. -----------
