So I liked the season opener for they could have done much worse, but what's happening now?
I predicted Ross being mad at Rachel for saying "okay" (not "yes") to Joey would be a good thing, because it enabled them to restart their relationship from a whole new ground with a less bitchy Rachel. They dropped this opportunity for one slapstick episode (902), quite funny though.
In 903 a cute but distanced R&R didn't have the main focus, although the title suggested otherwise -- a good thing IMHO --, but what are they doing to Ross, again? I can accept the he-still-sees-his-pedeatrician story, although it's unlikely not even Monica ever noticed, but he's flirting there first time in say 15 years? C'mon people. I'd be good with the explanation that he's been hurt by Rachel and thus watching for alternatives, if there hadn't been the Xerox girl. The whole Ross junior scene made me cringe, close my eyes and cover my ears, not well enough to hear nothing though.
I still keep my forecast of a 200th episode R&R reunion, but only until the next episode. If there'll be no indication for it, I'll get along with all the others expecting it to happen not before May 2003. I'm fine with that too, if it's handled properly and no more cringy Ross can't flirt scenes appear.
Some questions remain:
What happened to Phoebe's guy with the broken leg? If Joey could affort a ring like Grandma Gellar's, will he someday redecorate his appartment according to his income? And will we ever see it again? For which company is Chandler going to be on /duty/ in Tulsa, the one he has been working for for years or the one he applied for last season? Will I get to see my dream scene of R&R falling asleep next to each other and cuddling after being exhausted by Emma?
