Does anyone else think that the Chandler and Monica subplots tend to be boring and unfunny? Granted, while when they were about to have sex and they heard Janice's "huhuhuhuhuh" was funny, the whole thing with them wanting to do it in a hospital was just dumb. Monica's character also seemed to change...they're trying to make her too "zany" and it winds up just not being that funny.
What do you think?

They have their moments but I agree: the thing with them trying to find a place to get laid was unclassy, IMO (sex in public is just pointless, to me, especially if there's a better place to do it in). But, I digress.

I was thinking the issue was that, if they wanted to start right away, they would have to literally start right away. There's only about a 24 hour period when it can happen. Of course, the trick is to know which 24 hours that is. Monica did the math, and figured it must have been right then.
There are questions surrounding all this: Was Rachel's labor really 47 hours, or was that an exaggeration? If it was 47 hours, did all the friends stay at the hospital the whole time, and if so, why didn't they get exhausted and frumpy? If they went home to rest up, then why couldn't M&C take care of business at home?
Now that I think about it though, they seem to have always enjoyed getting together in unusual places. I recall one tag scene where they came out of the closet behind the big chair at Central Perk. They must really have a thing for closets.
