MORE THAN JUST FRIENDS? MATT SHOWS UP WITH SHOW GIRL GINA

In friends, his character Chandler Bing never had much luck with women - at least, not until he and Monica finally got together. But away from the set of the top-rating Channel 4 show, Matthew Perry seems to be rarely short of female company.

His latest companion is actress Gina Gershon (best known for her roles in Face/Off and the critically planned Showgirls), with whom he was spotted out recently in Los Angeles.

The couple, who stepped off for a soft drink at a pavement caf�, certainly gave the impression that they were rather more than just acquaintances, linking arms with each other at one stage. In the past, Matthew's been linked with Julia Roberts and ABC entertainment president Jamie Tarses.

Well, IIRC the article quoted both Crane and Kauffman. They were excited about it and said it was "a good thing that Chandler and Monica are together or else we would have had a very messy controversy on our hands." However, the whole story was later denied by CCA's rep, so I wouldn't believe the rumour if I were you.

Matthew was awarded best tv comedy actor at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night. Guess who was in the audience cheering him on....? It wasn't Gina Gershon!
