erm.. is it me or does the USA seem to be slightly obsessed with ratings battles.. The show seems to be judged on how many people watch it.... that's not the best way of doing it.. as a good episode wont be watched....necessarily.. :(
Well. I'm on the edge of my seat here.. regarding Season 7.. although not as much as last year admittedly....
Ratings mean that the network can charge more in advertising. For them ratings mean everything, they brainwash the public by saying that good ratings= a quality show.

I've noticed a lot of people here are like that too. I'm American though, and I don't feel like high ratings mean qualtiy. One of my all-time fave shows, "American Gothic", had terrible ratings, but I still looked at it as a great show. All I care about when the ratings are concerned is that they are good enough to keep it on the air. Bad ratings equal no show. But I don't care if they are number one, or number two. Just as long as they stay in the top 20 to keep it on the air. You won't never hear me bitching that they've slipped to #2.
