Do you guys keep up with the new episodes? I have been watching only on and off for about the past 2 seasons. I will watch an episode occasionally and get annoyed at the "Will and Grace-ification" of the show. It seems that every week they have a new celebrity guest star. Friends has always had famous people such as Tom Selleck or Jon Lovitz, but Richard was a nicely written and well-developed character, and Lovitz's appearance was brief and very funny.
I told myself that I would at least watch the last season, but I've been watching less TV overall, and that coupled with my not really enjoying the new episodes is discouraging me from making it a point to tune in every week.
You guys are the die-hard fans, but even here I don't see much discussion of the show. It's just like the Simpsons newsgroup. Both shows have had their best episodes behind them, but at least Friends is ending before it becomes totally unwatchable.
I saw one episode of that show with John Laroquette and the Glad trash bags lady. Awful, awful sitcom. Can't these producers think of anything besides a house and a family? Shows like this make Family Matters look like a work of staggering genius.
