Ok, you know how Chandler used to hate bubble baths? Not sure of the ep.# but it was shortly after Monica & Chandler got married. Monica begged and begged him to tak e a bubble bath and eventually he liked it so much he was sneaking in to the bathroom to take hers?
Well, here's an observation. In S5-2, at the very beginning of the show, Mon & Chan are in a bubble bath. Granted, he's probably extremely giddy about the fact that he's with Mon, so he'd do anything...

I think its only a TV program so it doesnt matter that much
And because it's a tv show, there are bubbles.
They are a mechanism to allow showing people in the bath, without showing the actors totally naked.
