To start off with, I have already tried to access the Music FAQ at: http://www.friends-tv.org/music.html
The site is so slow, it's unusable. (Today, it's not even reachable) (Every other site is quick, so it's not my connection)
I'm wondering what the name/artist is of the song at the end of part 1 where Monica is dancing while eating.
I've checked many places, and I can't seem to find this info.

Some people may not recognize this scene, because it wasn't present when the episode first aired. This is because in the initial airing, it was presented as one hour-long episode (with credits only after part 2). In syndication (reruns), when the part 1 credits air, this scene appears.
This scene was also shown during the Friend bloopers and outtakes special that aired in the US in February, 2000. In that instance, a different song was used: Shake Your Groove Thing, by "Peaches and Herb."

I'm not sure if this is what you are saying, but it is apparently not always shown with "Shake Your Groove Thing." I saw the scene last week, and it had a completely different song behind it. I didn't recognize the song.
It was on as I turned on the television, so I just assumed it was the end of the syndicated ep, but it might have been something else. Did anyone else see it? And do you know what that other song is?

I've also read that this song may have been created only for this scene, and it isn't a real song.

The FAQ says that when the scene was shown in the blooper show, the music was "Shake Your Groove Thing", by Peaches and Herb, but they can't identify the music in the European or syndicated versions.
